compatability mode

i am using MS office 2007. i have a file from 2003 version that when i open
it it says it's compatability mode and it's a blank spreadsheet. i know why
it's doing it i just don't know how to turn it off or convert the file. i've
tried closing it and reopening but still the same blank. what can i do to
fixed this?

compatability mode

So the Excell 2003 file, when opened in Excel 2007 opens as a blank file?

First make sure that you are not in a cell which is outside the area with
values...

Second enter anything in cell A1, save the file and reopen... do you see the
value you had entered in A1?

Normally 2003 files open fine in 2007... and you can save them in xlsx
format to convert them to 2007...
