Updating Pivot
Do i have to rebuild the pivot table after i add additional rows of
information to the data sheet. It seems that when i add data and i do a refresh on the pivot it does not capture the additional information. Regards |
Updating Pivot
Right click on the pivot table and select Pivot Table Wizard. Click 'Back'
and change the range it's seeing to include your new rows. acss wrote: Do i have to rebuild the pivot table after i add additional rows of information to the data sheet. Regards Hi, you can use Dynamic Ranges as des cribed here : 'Excel -- Names -- Naming Ranges' (http://www.contextures.com/xlNames01.html#Dynamic) The range will then be adapted automatically when you refresh the PT -- Pecoflyer Cheers - *'Membership is free' (http://www.thecodecage.com)* & allows file upload -faster and better answers *Adding your XL version* to your post helps finding solution faster ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pecoflyer's Profile: http://www.thecodecage.com/forumz/member.php?userid=14 View this thread: http://www.thecodecage.com/forumz/sh...ad.php?t=79689 |

Thanks for the link. I am new utilizing the OFFSET function so how do you
include 7 (A through G ) named columns so it can grasp every row out to 3000? Hi
Try InsertnameDefine Name myData Refers to =$A$1:INDEX($1:$65536,COUNTA($A:$A),COUNTA($1:$1)) This will give a dynamic range that will grow if you add more rows or more columns. Right click on a cell in your PTPT WizardBackSource =myData -- Regards Roger Govier "acss" wrote in message ... Thanks for the link.
