Default Split up

We are trying to split up the file that can sometimes first names together
with last names sometimes first names are after their last names sometimes
the city and state and zip is in the same column sometimes indifferent column
also sometimes it & Fam which is not a last name this file contains about
30,000 names
also advise how to download a sample of the file

Mr. H Safir H 1720 51St St Monsey 11204 NY
Mr. & Mrs Eli Stern Eli 854 E 24Th St Monsey 11204 NY
Mr. Fried & Fam A B 1645 59th St Brooklyn NY 11204
Mr. Hasenfeld & Fam Alex 1655 48th St Brooklyn NY 11204
Mr. Schwartz & Fam Chaim 1620 44th St Brooklyn NY 11204
Mr. Salamon & Fam Elia 5424 16th Ave Brooklyn NY 11204

I dont think you are going to find a fix for this!, you may be able to
lessen the problem using Text to Columns and worksheet functiosn LEFT,
MID & RIGHT, but nothing will completely fix what you describe.

To whom are you talking ?
The "forum" that you are posting in leaches off the Microsoft News servers
in order to make it look far busier than it really is. Everyone who uses the
MS News servers sees your post on it's own - we have NO IDEA to whom you are
talking.

If you MUST continue to post in this "forum" then please at least quote the

You would be far better off however, using a news reader and subscribing to

Basically what cellman is saying is that there isn't any consistent
pattern. So coming up with a method of laying out this data will be
quite difficult if not impossible. If you could divide up that data
somehow so that each row had a consistent pattern like all rows with
last names fist then you might be able to deal with it in groups.
