inventory
I am no pro in Excel. Please, I need to figure out how to create an
inventory speadsheet that will update the current inventory when saved. A1) product B1) amt sold C1) price per unit D1) original inventory E1) D1-B1 I'de like to save the updated E1 inventory after each order, clear B1 for the next order and have E1 always reflect the current stock. If I save and clear B1, E1 reverts back to D1 quantity. Thanks for any help. |

You would be better off listing the orders down the page with a sub-total at the bottom. And you omitted one very important item - Purchases. -- Asking a question? I have a very simple spreadsheet that that can be expanded and does most of
what you want and a little more. If you would like it, I could send it to you. It is currently in Excel 2007 format but I can save it in a different format if that is what you require. The sheet is populated with dummy data to give an idea of what is happening with the calculations. Let me know if you are interested. "anjarama" wrote in message ... I am no pro in Excel. Gordon,
B1 is purchases... How do you mean cumulative? I cannot get the cost per order if B1 runs cummulatively. I may be misunderstanding you. Please elaborate. Thanks again "Gordon" wrote: "anjarama" wrote in message ... I am no pro in Excel. Thanks again You need to have a cell for Opening Stock. Then a list of orders despatched with a sub-total. Your current stock (not taking account of any Purchases) is Opening Stock minus the sub-total of Orders despatched. In a very simple way. -- Asking a question? Without wanting to be seen to be patronising, if you are trying to run an Inventory system (upon which your Cost of Sales depends, and so is a VERY important part of your financial records) and can't work out this quite simple formula, than, as a recently-retired Systems and Management Accountant, I would seriously suggest that you get some professional help... -- Asking a question? Could you send me an example? Or walk me through how to create cummulative cells for open stock. I appreciate your help. Thanks "Gordon" wrote: "anjarama" wrote in message ... Send me an email address (I tried to send you an email but it bounced back
to me). Send to n e w d o v e r m a n @ y a h o o . c a (take out the spaces. If you include your inventory list and prices, and order points, I could populate the tables to perform the calculations using your data in the sheet. Ron "anjarama" wrote in message ... OH PLEASE!!!
