How to alphabetize my created list?
I an not very computer literate so I will need step by step instructions on
how to create a list, then alphabetize it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
Depending on how many columns you have this is actually a very easy task.
I'll do a quick example you can try then you can elaborate on it for your own. Type "Adam" - press return - Highlighted cell moves down a row Type" Eve" - press return again and highlighted cell moves down again Type " Alan" Use your mouse to click on any of the typed cells making sure the cursor is flashing and the whole word is not highlighted. There are two buttons on the second row of buttons at the top of the page, one with an A ontop of a Z with and arrow pointing down and one with a Z on top of an A and an arrow pointing down. The A on top will sort alphabetically with Adam then Alan then Eve and the one with Z at the top will do the reverse. Play with this till you get the hang.If you have more than one column just select one cell (cursor flashing only) in the column you want to sort and it will sort the whole table correctly. Hope this helps and isn't too confusing? "etakathy" wrote: I an not very computer literate so I will need step by step instructions on how to create a list, then alphabetize it. Thank you, it worked and I appreciate the time you took to explain this to me.
