How come my filter does not work?

Hi again,

I encountered strange problem with my multi-sheet excel I've been working on.

I have a sheet_2 that's full of different matrix-functions which tracks the
changes in cells in sheet_1 .

What I need to do (for double-checking purposes) daily is to auto-filter 1st
row and count the number of particular values on one column.

Normally, Excel gives me this nice little number on lower -left corner that
sum up the quantities of how many specific values was found. But now when I
have this sheet_2 (with all the matrix-functions) - I'm indeed able to go
auto-filter mode and do the actual filtering BUT it doesn't give me the
number anymore?! After I delete sheet_2 - everything works fine and I'm able
to do the effective auto-filtering.

I just don't understand what excel does to prevent itself giving me the
filter results.

If I delete sheet_2 - filtering works normal.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

The Status Bar display of the Auto Filter results has a number of known
issues. As a work around do this, suppose the column you want to count is
column A1:A100, before applying the filter.

In an empty cell enter the formula:

=SUBTOTAL(3,A1:A100)

When you filter your data this cell will tell you how many items were found.

If this helps, please check the Yes button.
