How do I calculate a percentage of a column?
 

I'm using Excel 2002 and have 3 columns. Column B is a series of Y's and N's
(Yes/No). At the bottom of the column, I would like to calculate the
percentage of Y's.

This sheet is a completeness report, so knowing how much work is complete in
percentage would be helpful.

Try this one:

=COUNTIF(A3:A11,"y")/(COUNTIF(A3:A11,"y")+COUNTIF(A3:A11,"n"))

Format the cell to %age
