I CANNOT SELECT NUMBERS ON MY KEYBOARD?

When working on a spread sheet my folder mashed the keyboard. Now when I
press the numbers keypad nothing happens. If I try to use the numbers across
the top of the keyboard !"£$%^&* is all I get.

Ash,

It sounds as though Excel is acting as if your Shift key is pressed in. Does
it navigate when you use your number pad instead of entering numbers or does
it just do nothing?

I dont know of anyway of setting Excel to act as if Shift is on, maybe
another forum user could help if there is a way of doing/undoing that.

Double check your keyboard and make sure neither of your shift keys have
become stuck in the down position.
