Slow Saving in Excel

I have developed a spreadsheet to track daily production. The size of the
workbook is 16.2MB. The save time is very poor. Is there any way I can speed
up save times or improve the sheet to save faster?

1. Are you using array formulas, or just a lot of formulas in general?
2. Do you have a lot of different fonts, cell colors, text sizes?
3. Is the workbook shared?
4. Are you using macro code to update or refresh data/pivot tables?

These all tend to slow down the workbook.

I am using formulae. macros and colored fonts a lot JP. I was hoping that
was not the reason or that there was a way of speeding the save up. Many
thanks for your answer.
