You can't download Excel 2003. When you installed 2007, it should have
prompted you to delete or keep previous versions. If you selected to delete 2000, you'll have to re-install from your 2000 CD. -- Cordially, Chip Pearson Microsoft MVP - Excel, 10 Years Pearson Software Consulting www.cpearson.com (email on the web site) "cb" wrote in message ... Office 2000 resides on my computer except excel does not load- lost original
CD. I have the 07 excel trial . I need to email an 07 excel to someone, they cannot open it as they do not have 07 excel. Not sure why this is the case. Tried to convert file with Adobe reader conversion trial- says file not supported- (the excel file 07) How do people with 07 with files to send deal with this issue- at this point I see no reason to purchase 07 after my trial unless I know it can be opened by others. I want to make sure if I download the 03 it will not affect my 2007 trial version and just replace the 2000. I have files there I cannot loose now for accounting reasons. Not sure I understand everything you said but here are two points:
1) In XL2007 you can save a workbook in the old (XL97 to XL2003) format 2) The Microsoft website has a Compatibility utility that enable older version of Excel to open XL2007 files (and Word and PPT) best wishes -- Bernard V Liengme Microsoft Excel MVP www.stfx.ca/people/bliengme remove caps from email "cb" wrote in message ...
