Can anyone help me as i have never used excel before
I am new to windows excel and i am typing in column 'A' the following;
08 001 08 002 08 003 Now, rather than type this out 958 times downwards, is there a way of getting it to fill automatically rather than typing it in please ? I tried clicking the bottom left hand corner and scrolling down but all i got was this; 08 001 09 001 10 001 and so on. Can anyone tell me how to make it automatically put the next number in please ? Mind you, thats if it can be done ? Bearing in mind i am not computer literate so please, no quantum physic type answers or my brain cell will explode ! Thank you all for looking |

try typing in "08 001 in the first cell, fill down using the fill handle on
the bottom right of the cell and fill series. Then use find & replace an replace " leaving the replace cell blank and select replace all. or format the cell to the custom format "08" 000. put 1 in the first cell and fill down then select fill series -- John MOS Master Instructor Office 2000, 2002 & 2003 Please reply & rate any replies you get Ice Hockey rules (especially the Wightlink Raiders) "KODIAK BEAR" wrote: I am new to windows excel and i am typing in column 'A' the following; 08 001 08 002 08 003 Now, rather than type this out 958 times downwards, is there a way of getting it to fill automatically rather than typing it in please ?
