Save it as Read-only or save the original as a Template.
New workbooks will be based upon the Template and the original will not be altered. I would go with the second method. Either do what Gord said or go to
Tools--- Protection ---- Protect Sheet Then assign a password to. People can look at it but they can not touch anything or do anything with out the password.
