Thanks for a quick response. The "Text Format" works fine.

I suspect you have ToolsOptionsEdit "Fixed decimal places" with 2 DP enabled.
This will change 1 to .01 or 10 to 1 Uncheck this feature. Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Thu, 15 Mar 2007 12:22:15 -0700, bgray1796 wrote: How do I format a number as in 1,2,3,4,5,6 without zeros or decimals? I tried the General but I get 0.01 instead of 1 I am using Office 2007. |

I think you have set the option to make all numbers have two decimal places.
Click the Office button; open Excel options and look around - my XL2007 computer is asleep and I cannot recall the exact location of this setting If you type 1 and get 0.01 then this is your solution! best wishes -- Bernard V Liengme www.stfx.ca/people/bliengme remove caps from email "bgray1796" wrote in message ... I had the same problem and didn't like using text for numbers.Excel 2007 does
not have ToolsOptionsEdit like previous versions. Instead use: Office ButtonExcel OptionsAdvanced TabEditing Options sectionAutomatically insert a decimal point = uncheck.
