Default Sorry to chime in but...

The new ribbon interface has been a serious productivity killer for
me. I have read the reasoning behind the new interface and I agree
with most of it, but there is some inconsistency as to why we can't
have a "classic menu" option. Outlook 2007 still has a menu bar and
it's possible to create one via an add-in, but Microsoft insists that
all users re-learn how to use Office. It is a waste of time to be
forced to go on a hunting expedition for the "copy format" button (or
any of the other menu options).

I've been using 2007 for a few weeks it has been difficult just to do
routine things. I did not have a choice in my upgrade, but it will be
a long time before I upgrade the rest of my users. This was a serious
misstep on Microsoft's part.

The "menu" add-in has restored me to a reasonable level of
productivity and still allows me to adjust to the new interface.
Microsoft should buy it/create their own and make it an optional
download.

I'm not suggesting the new ribbon interface should go away. In fact I
like it very much, but forcing me to use it with no other options is
just plain dumb.
