Excel

Hi Kathy

Press the Windows key + F to bring up the Search dialogueAll Files and
FoldersExcel.exeSearch

If Search finds a result, then you should see Excel.exe and the Excel
icon.
Right click on the file and choose Send ToDesktop (as shortcut)

Now from your desktop, double click the icon and Excel will load.

Excel

Since you don't own excel...

There are trial versions of excel that will expire after a certain amount of
uses or days.

But maybe you don't need excel to update files?????

The free viewer (no changes allowed) from Microsoft:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/of...347961033.aspx

and the older version if you can't run the one above:

http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...S/xlViewer.exe
(One line in your browser)

or...

Maybe a free spreadsheet program would work:
http://www.openoffice.org, a 60-65 meg download or a CD

===
And you may want to look at the Teacher/Student version (if you're a teacher or
student). It's less expensive. Check your favorite software outlet.

A hint to posters: Specific, detailed questions are more likely to be
answered than questions that provide no detail about your problem.
