Adding the same number to each cell in a column

I'm a new Excel user. How do I add the value 1.5 to each cell in a column?

JE McGimpsey

Adding the same number to each cell in a column

One way:

Enter 1.5 in a blank cell. Copy the cell. Select the cells to be added
to. Choose Edit/Paste Special, selecting the Add and Values radio
buttons.

Try this:

Enter 1.5 in a blank cell and select that cell

From the Excel main menu:
<edit<copy

Next....select the cells you want to add the 1.5 to
Then...<edit<paste special....Check: Add
Click [OK]

Does that help?
