gls858 sent you to a demo that shows how to merge cells.
Avoid these like the plague. They are the source of a great deal of problems when copying, pasting, sorting, filtering and others. I took a quick look at at the demo and it talked about spreading info across three cells. Since I never use merged cells I always use center across selection as you suggested I just assumed that was what the demo was showing. My bad for not watching enough of the demo to determine what it was showing. gls858 |

Thanks
I hoped you wouldn't too upset with my pointing out that merged cells can create havoc. My mission in life is to get MS to drop the merged cells feature but no luck yet. I guess they have their place if the sheet is just for presentation purposes only but people seem to forget what they have merged and start trying to massage and run into the problems. The important thing is that the OP gets their problem solved without creating any new ones :-) gls858 |
