Date enters wrong #'s
Hi,
I'm trying to format a cell to enter the date i.e. 6/12/06 dd/mm/yy but when I format it custom dd/mm/yy it shows up as 11/03/40? -Rich |

Is the cell already populated? I'm thinking yes. The current entry is not a
date, Try retyping after format. There is a date format like you want, no need to custom format. Lou "Frustrated_rich99" wrote: Hi, I'm trying to format a cell to enter the date i.e. 6/12/06 dd/mm/yy but when I format it custom dd/mm/yy it shows up as 11/03/40? -Rich |

Another thought .. regardless of the final date formatting desired for
display purposes, to avoid any ambiguity with dates entry, I'd always type in the full date, eg keying it in as: 1-dec-2006, 30-oct-2005, etc. -- Max Singapore http://savefile.com/projects/236895 xdemechanik --- "Frustrated_rich99" wrote: Hi, I'm trying to format a cell to enter the date i.e. 6/12/06 dd/mm/yy but when I format it custom dd/mm/yy it shows up as 11/03/40? -Rich |
