Answer: how to change from dollars to pounds in a balance sheet

Sure, I can help you with that! Here are the steps to change the currency from dollars to pounds in a balance sheet in Microsoft Excel:
  1. Select the cells that you want to change the currency format for. You can do this by clicking and dragging your mouse over the cells, or by clicking on the first cell and then holding down the Shift key while clicking on the last cell.
  2. Right-click on the selected cells and choose "Format Cells" from the context menu.
  3. In the Format Cells dialog box, click on the "Number" tab.
  4. In the "Category" list, select "Currency".
  5. In the "Symbol" list, select "English (United Kingdom)".
  6. In the "Decimal places" box, enter the number of decimal places you want to display for the currency.
  7. Click "OK" to apply the changes.

That's it! Your balance sheet should now display the currency in pounds instead of dollars. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.

You can change the Currency Icon ($) by doing the following: Go to the
format menu and select Style... Choose Currency from the Style name: dropdown
box; choose the modify button and select English(United Kingdom) from the
Symbol: dropdown box. Select ok. You use the icon the same way....click on
the cell you want to format and then click the Currency Icon ($)

I would suggest that you worksheet is protected if you cannot access these
features like FormatCells and FormatStyle

Go to ToolsProtection and see if "Unprotect sheet" is available.

You may have to supply a password.
