Hi edver,
You cannot link to an existing pivot table, but you can link to the source data for an existing pivot table. You can do this in two ways. 1) Create a new sheet in book A, create a pivot table in the new sheet with data source option "Another pivot table...". Then move the new sheet to book B - right click the sheet tab to get move or copy menu. 2) Create a new pivot table in book B. Use the external data source option. Select Excel Sheet as the data provider and follow the prompts. Both methods end up building a pivot table with the same data source as the pivot in book A. Method 1 is easier if you do not have named ranges for the original data. Ed Ferrero http://edferrero.m6.net/ Hello, Can I link Pivot Table 1 in WorkBook B to a pivot that exists in Workbook A?
