Unexpected closure of Excel
I have a 23Mb Spreadsheet which has links to various other sheets and
PowerPoint Presentations. When I select certain sheets to create a copy, the following occurs 1. Book 1.xls created 2. reading data....... 3. calculating but at 15% complete Excel shuts down with no warning or error message. if 3, 4 or 5 sheets are open which are not connected, they also shut down w/o saving or promptinig for a save. I can create a copy with some sheets but as soon as I include other sheets the problem appears. Memory does not seem to be an issue, nor which computer on the network I use. Network profiles have been reset, no good, even a roll back to a copy of the sheet that worked, but that now does not work.. Something, somewhere is conflicting or is corrupted, any ideas -- Chris A Frustrated Excel user |
Unexpected closure of Excel
Have you tried 'Open and Repair'?
Also try saving as a .htm file and then back to a .xls file (called RoundTripping) as this can often fix corruptions. -- Regards Ken.......................
