Can't highlight a single cell. Creates a range when I move curso
I'm working with Excel 2003. All of a sudden I can't highlight a single
cell. When I move the cursor with the mouse or an arrow key, a range is created. I've shut my computer off and restarted it, but it continues to do this. How can I get out of this? |

You probably have your Scroll lock; hit the shift and Scroll lock key(next to
Print Screen in your keyboard), and that should solve it. "Butch Walker" wrote: I'm working with Excel 2003. All of a sudden I can't highlight a single cell. In my case, I had merged cells near the top of the sheet that created a table effect for the rest of the sheet. See if this is the case. If so, unmerge them and you will be able to select what you want. Then you can either remerge or reformat your worksheet altogether. |

Perhaps you have hit the F8 key?
Do you see "EXT" on status bar? Hit the F8 key again to disable "Extended Selection" If using a wheel mouse, tap the roller a few times to clear.
