How do I keep fixed and Non-fixed decimals on a sheet together?
 

I am creating a spreadsheet that includes currency values and would like to
maintain two decimal places for ease in data entry. The same sheet includes
a series of ticket numbers for which I want no decimal at all. I cannot find
a way to keep both of these functions on the same sheet. I have had to
reapply the tools option every time I get to these cells. Is there an easier
way to make it stick?

Maybe you can use Data Validation...

You can have more than one decimal place formatting on the same sheet.

Your ticket number cells can be formatted for no decimals.

FormatCellsNumberNumberDecimal Places. Set to 0

Leave your other cells as 2-decimal currency.

BTW........what does the Tools Option have to do with decimal places and
formatting?

Are you perhaps setting decimal places at ToolsOptionsEdit "Fixed decimal
places"?

Not the place to be doing that. That will divide your numbers by two when
entering them.
