Help, I need to write this as a formula in Excel
Below £30.multiply by 5.25% , Above £30,the first £30 multiply by
5.25%,then the remainder multiply by 3.25% ,Hope this makes sense,

hi Woodie,

For a value in A1:
=MIN(A1^1,30)*0.0525+(A130)*(A1-30)*0.0325
The ^1 suppresses an otherwise erroneous result if A1 is empty. You'll still
get an error if A1 has text, though.

=MIN(A1*5.25%,A1*3.25%+0.6)
