formula and cell link movements
Please help with this one...............Cell F3 contains a formula, which
references cells F1 and F2. Which of the following will change if the contents of cells F1, F2, and F3 are moved elsewhere in the spreadsheet? -- Wendy A Richards |
I forgot to give the Multiple choice answers to chose from:
(A) Both relative and absolute references to cells F1 and F2 will change (B) Any absolute references to cells F1 and F2 within the formula will change (C) Any relative references to cells F1 and F2 within the formula will change (D) Neither relative nor absolute references to cells F1 and F2 will change "wenrichards" wrote: Please help with this one...............Cell F3 contains a formula, which references cells F1 and F2. I would have thought that was an easy one to work out for yourself. Just try
it and see. The answer is, and I just tried it and saw, is that they all change. Moving say F3 first will not change that at all at this point as the cells it refers to do not change. Moving F1 and F2 will change them, and will also update F3. -- HTH Bob Phillips "wenrichards" wrote in message ...
