I have what to me seems like a difficult task. I am creating a workbook that
will convert the number of 3 foot panels needed on the gable end of a building when given roof pitch, wall height, width and length. I am able to do everything but this; on the width of the builoding it will increase the panels in length every three feet. I want excell to calculate the # of panels needed and at what length. If you have any Ideas please email me at . |

If the width of the building in feet is in A1, then try: =INT(A1/3)+1 unless I'm missing something from your description. HTH "David Bryant" wrote: I have what to me seems like a difficult task. Not so much. I want it to return the number of panels needed at a certain
length. Like on an amortization schedule it will return 12 payments @ 30 dollars. I want it to read; 12 at 3 10 at 4 ect. ect. Hokay. Now that I understand it, I have a better approach anyway: A B 1 # 2 3 =ROUNDUP($B$1/A2,0) 3 4 copy that down 4 6 5 8 Should work fine. HTH "David Bryant" wrote: Not so much.
