how do i insert a combobox in excel
I CAN GET AS FAR AS INSERTING A COMBO OR LIST BOX, TOGETHER WITH TITLE, BUT I
CANNOT SEEM TO GRASP HOW TO INSERT A MULTIPLE CHOICE LIST. I NEED A LIST, FOR EXAMPLE, THAT GIVES THE USER AN EITHER OR OPTION TO AVOID INCORRECT ENTRIES. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP |
Hi Lynnskin:
In order to use a "combo box", you must first create a list of items somewhere on your sheet (each item in a separate cell). The list must be on the same sheet as the cell(s) that use it OR you can build your list later in the dialog box referred to below: 1) Go to DataValidation and select "List" from the choices. 2a) If you have a list on your worksheet, specify the range of cells where it is located OR 2b) Type the items for your list into the Range field separating each one from the next by a comma.
