Autofilter - copy & paste
 

I am using two different spreadsheets. I am copying info from spreadsheet #1
and pasting onto spreadsheet #2. Once I have pasted the info onto
spreadsheet #2 I try and use the auto filter to find a name, and the filter
will bring up the name, plus all the info I just pasted onto the spreadsheet.
The filter should be incorporating the info into the filter, instead it is
keeping it as one solid block of info that I cannot retrieve individually by
the auto filter.

I am using Excel 1997 and have not had this problem before.
How can I fix this?
