ERROR.TYPE formula problem
I am trying to create a formula which will leave a cell empty if it's dividing by zero, or give me a result if there are numbers in the referenced cells. It seems simple enough, but I can't get it to work. My formula looks like this: =IF(ERROR.TYPE(E13/E2)0,"DUD",E13/E2) If there are no numbers in E13 and/or E2 it returns DUD, but if I put a number into either or both of E13 and E2, I get a #N/A error. I have tried formatting the cells specifically as numbers and as general but this hasn't made any difference. HELP!!! Trish -- tuph ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tuph's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=31390 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=544947 |
