I need help. I am creating a simple list in an excel worksheet. Column 1 is
name, column 2 is address, 3 is city, 4 is state, etc...my problem is I do
not know how to sort the list by name and still have columns 2, 3, 4 and so
on stay with the orginal column 1?

RWN

The rows should stay.
Click anywhere in the list and select "Data-Sort" select the Column you want to sort on
and "OK".
You'll note that when you select "Data-Sort" xl will highlight the range it figures you
want to sort.

Gord Dibben

Since Excel can make mistakes in estimating the current region to sort, best
to manually select all columns you want included then do your sort based on
the name column in DataSortSort by.
