error message: merged cells must be same size
scanned part and entered part of contact list alpha in Excel 2002. Need to
sort by state which is separate column. Keep getting error message: merged cells must be same size. Can't see any difference. How to find out what cells are different? Or is there a different way to sort this list than using the "Sort" function? Thanks! |

Somewhere in the data you have a merged cell.
Work on a copy of the data. Select the data and use Format-Cells-Alignment and uncehck the Merge Cells checkbox. Then you'll be able to sort "Buckskin" wrote: scanned part and entered part of contact list alpha in Excel 2002. Need to sort by state which is separate column. Thanks, Duke. Your advice worked like a charm. Much obliged.
