Importing from one workbook to another
I have a blank workbook with a lot of VBA Macro Code behind it. This .xls
file is created from a template with the code behind it. I need to transfer (import or merge) a spreadsheet from Camerroon to the United States. I receive the Workbook fine, but when I open it in English all the columns look like Dates. I tried to change the .xls file from Africa automatically but it would not work. It will work if I do it manually. The bank president does not trust the accountant in changing 53 columns every day. I want to import the workbook received from Camerroon to the Blank workbook I have created from the Template. I am very new to Excel (before last week never used it) and am struggeling with how to import the data to my blank Workbook. The computer used is not on a network, it is a stand along PC. Thanks again in advance. Bill |

Bill,
Have you tried, DATA-- Get External Data? If so, what happens? "Bill Barber" wrote: I have a blank workbook with a lot of VBA Macro Code behind it. Importing from one workbook to another
Iskus;
Nothing. All the data came in exactly the same. The Macros behind the code never ran. If the Macros would run this would help a lot because then the operators would only be required to do one thing manually. If I can get the External Data automatically (Using Macro's) and run the Macro code at the same time that would be best. Thanks for Trying to Help Bill "Iskus23" wrote: Bill, Have you tried, DATA-- Get External Data? If so, what happens?
