Divide selected cells by 1000
 

I have a spreadsheet with all values in $ and I need to convert it to
thousands ($K). Is there a way I can simply enter 1000 in a cell on my
spreadsheet, select all the values and divide them all by that cell?

Sure, try the following...

1) Select an empty cell

2) Enter 1000

3) Edit Copy

4) Select the range of cells containing the values

5) Edit Paste Special Divide Ok

Yes.

Enter 1000 in an empty cell. EditCopy.
Select your values.
EditPaste Special, check Divide

That should be...

1) Enter 1000 in an empty cell

2) Select this cell

3) Edit Copy

4) Select the range of cells containing the values

5) Edit Paste Special Divide Ok

Or maybe keep the value, but give the cells a custom format of:

(end with a comma)
