Check 2 different list get associated value from a column
 

I have 2 different list in different sheets, First list has Headings are
CR,WR,Type Second list is CR,WR.

List Values as follows; First list in sheet 1

CR WR TYPE
AX AXY C
AY AXY C
AZ AXY E
BZ BXY c
BY BXY e
BX BXY c

Second list in Sheet 2

CR WR TYPE
AX AXY
BZ BXY
AZ AXY
AX AXY
BY BXY
BX BXY


Problems is how can i run a function which looks value for AX in List 1
then checks for corresponding value AXY if it there in any where then
bring type value from list 1 ( sheet 1) and put it in list 2 in sheet
2

I believe you can use a vlookup function to do this.
=VLOOKUP(A2,Sheet1!A2:C7,3,FALSE)

If you enter this formula in cell C2 on sheet2 it will respond with the
"Type" [or Sheet1 C column] value that corresponds with the A2 value
from sheet 2.
The Excel's help can explain it better.
