Keeping formulas on running total and sorts
Hi, I have a Nascar standings excel sheet that looks like this: Position Name This week's PreviousTotal Total Points Points Points Points Behind 1 Sam 3132 3132 ---- 2 Kelly 3094 3094 -38 etc.... Weekly I enter this week's points which adds to previous total points giving me a new total points. There is also a formula to tell me how many points behind the 2nd, 3rd place people are. The problem is 1.the position of the people keep changing, 2.the only way I know how to move total points to previous total points is to paste value then I lose the formula for total points and the same goes for the formula in points behind. Is there a way to do this without reentering all of the formulas all over again every time I resort the positions and update every week? -- LoriM1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ LoriM1's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...fo&userid=2815 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=534138 |
