vlookup

Hi, i just built a spreadsheet that contains on col A store numbers, col B
amounts and col C dates (for 10 days), i also built a sort of a "table
reference" that the lookup formula should refer to and sum the amounts for
only 7 days instead of the full 10 days according to the stores that are in
the "table reference". is this even possible? any help is really appreciated.

Hi
try something like
=SUMIF(C1:C10,"="&DATE(2004,12,1),B1:B10)-SUMIF(C1:C10,""&DATE(2004,12,7),B1:B10)

hi frank it didn't work for me, but i believe it's because i didn't give you
guys enough information, ok, for example, this is (part) of the list i
originally get:
2429 3903.92 12/10/2004
2429 3376.49 12/11/2004
2429 2995.59 12/12/2004
2429 4349.05 12/13/2004
2429 3819.2 12/14/2004
2429 5356.79 12/15/2004
2429 3954.3 12/16/2004
2429 6650.36 12/17/2004
2429 3203.62 12/18/2004
2451 3630.98 12/10/2004
2451 3262.54 12/11/2004
2451 3232.69 12/12/2004
2451 6493.26 12/13/2004
2451 7582 12/14/2004
2451 5848.97 12/15/2004
2451 5898.24 12/16/2004
2451 4577.8 12/17/2004
2451 2931.02 12/18/2004
2452 6598.54 12/10/2004
2452 4274.83 12/11/2004
2452 6590.04 12/12/2004
2452 6989.89 12/13/2004
2452 5578.28 12/14/2004
2452 4211.24 12/15/2004
2452 6979.02 12/16/2004
2452 5656.43 12/17/2004
2452 7120.89 12/18/2004

let's say from sheet number 2 i have a list that iclude store 2429 and 2452
(plus several others) i would like the formula to look at the stores on the
second sheet and sort from the original list only the first seven days. thank
you for your prompt response.
