Missing rows ?
 
I have a number of rows missing in my large sheet, it jumps from 6629 to
6710 can someone pls tell me what has happened here, many thanks

you have hidden rows,
Format,rows,unhide should get them to show again, you may have to
Highlight the sheet first

Not knowing anything beyond what you say, I would say those rows are hidden.
Select both rows, 6629 and 6710. Click on Format - Row - Unhide.
