Subtotals by grouping
Hello,
I am trying to do a subtotal on a very large worksheet. My problem is that I only need to Subtotal on Changes in categories like Peoples Names and Other categories that are not math related. Is there a way to Subtotal without usung the Sum, Count or any other math Function. I just need the groupings. I looked at the group and outline method but that is done manually. It would also be very tedious to manually delete the Total Rows. Is there another functon onthe subtotals like Var or any others? I am not sure what some of those functions do. Regards chris |

The DataSubtotal menu option should do what you want, if your data is sorted
