The braces ({...}) should be inserted by Excel when you hit Ctrl-Shift-Enter
at the end, they should not be part of the formula. Remove them. -- HTH Bob Phillips (remove nothere from email address if mailing direct) "datadude1959" wrote in message news:datadude1959.25qx7p_1144164308.6657@excelforu m-nospam.com... I would guess you are talking about an array formula. In an array formula,
you do not enter the Curly Braces {}. After you type the formula, instead of hitting enter, you hit Cntl-Shift-Enter and Excel wraps the formula in the curly braces. Here's a short example: =AVERAGE(IF(A1:A6 = "foo", B1:B6,"")) -- Kevin Vaughn "datadude1959" wrote: I have a formula that I used a long time age.
