Retrieving values from a specified sheet of a different file.
 

Hi I have a file " daily Figures.xls " with 30 sheets with names as Mar-1 to
Mar-30 with some daily figures in fixed cells. Now on a different excel file
I have to retrieve figures for a particular date from the " daily Figures.xls
" by going to that Sheet which has name as date ( Mar -5). Is there any way
we can move to that file and move to a particluar sheet to retrieve values on
new file.

Any help will be appreciated!!

No need. For a simple link just put an = sign in the cellopen the other
workbookgoto the page desiredgoto the cell desiredtouch the enter key.
Voila. You now have a link to that cell.

Hey Don,
This is not what I really want, In one sheet, I have to create a Cell with
list box with all dates from Mar -1 to Mar -31 and I want to retrieve the
values from the same "Date" sheet of " daily Figures.xls " which has figures
of that particular date.
Let me give u one example:


Daily figure.xls has Daily Sales fugure in C1 of Mar - 2 Sheet ( One of the
sheet from Mar-1 to mar-31 ), All I have to select a date " Mar -2 on a
different file and it will give me value from that Date's Sheet in Daily
figure.xls from C1.

Any help in this regard..
