installing sql.request help

I need the sql.request in excel 2003 so I download and install the xlodbc.exe
from microsoft.
When I ask for help on this function I get the error "you need to install
the mainxl.hlp file"
Where is this file?
What can I do, to get help with this function?
I am going to query a Sql server database, What is UID?
