infront of the range was?

etc ? Does anyone have a link to a website that explains how to work with
this kind of stuff in excel?

This function (similar to *0) is designed to force Excel into making the
result a number, rather than a TRUE or a FALSE.
It is called unary minus. There is some info he

but your best bet is to search Google Groups for "unary minus" AND excel

Thanks Bob! I've been trying to find that page for weeks! My brother (who
lives in Lymington, by the way) needs some guidance and I knew this page
existed somewhere!
