an excel formula for specific conditions

This is a small data I furnish below: A B C D E Total of B+C+D) 1.Ram 533370 179348 1224123 1936841 2.Sam 700370 189348 924123 1513841 3. 167000 10000 (-)600000 (B2-B1) (C2-C1) (D2-D1) I want a total in E3 cell based on the following conditions: 1. If all columns in row 3 ( B/C/D ) shows plus figures then E2-E1 2. If any of the columns in row 3 (B/C/D) shows minus figures, then the sum of such minus figures (irrespective of whether it is one column, two or three )only to be shown in E3 Is there any formula in excel to do this? I am using excel 2003 |
