Referencing a closed file

I am using the indirect function to reference cells in another Workbook. I
would like the reference to the files without them being open. Is there a
way to do this?
I was told that it can be done by using the full file path in the reference?
Is this true? How should it be entered?

Don Guillett

You can NOT use indirect with a closed workbook.

You can not refernce a closed file using INDIRECT, here's a workaround

On one line

how to install macros
