Default copying formulas and not values

I have built a inventory sheet with pivot tables and many equations for loss
and costs and i have used this sheet for many months without a problem.
However, in the last week when i went to change a formula things got a bit
wierd. I added another cell to the equation and went to drag the formula
through the entire coulum - ex (A1+B1-C1)=8... Excell copied the formula with
the correct cell refences(as it always has), but it copied the number (8) as
well all through the entire column. The formula was correct for each cell
below the previous one (A2+B2-C2) however it copied the 8 which is wrong
because it should equal a different total. but if i double click the cell to
check the references for the equation and then hit enter the correct total
appears. This sheet is huge and reworking the entire sheet would be a pain.
Please help

Thank you
Jeff
