How do I get relative values when linking cells from one workbook to another
workbook? Excel defaults to applying absolute values instead of relative
values.
Is there an option or default setting that can be altered to keep this from
happening?
I have been told that I have to go into each linked cell individually and
remove the dollar signs...is this true?

You can do a search & replace to GLOBALLY replace the $$ signs

Good idea.
Is this just how it is when linking workbook to workbook?
Are there default options or settings that can be tweaked in order to stop
Excel from creating absolute values?
