that each resource will attend. "Frank Kabel" wrote: Hi hwta kind of information dou you have already? "mc303" wrote: I need to set up a spreadsheet that will locate the nearest engineer to a customer's address. |
At its heart this is not an Excel question. First thing
you should do is work this through "by hand" - how can you achieve this? From that you should get something you can then implement on a spreadsheet. Dont know if your postcodes are "meaningful" eg you can imply something geographically from them. I would think to do this you wouild need to be able to refer to some coordinate system so you can deduce & test seperation. ttfn benm |
Hi
so you don't have any real distance information or a separate info about the distance between different zip codes. Question: How would you calculate this manually (would you lookup some other database, etc.) Bottom line: With only this information not really possible (maybe looking at the zip codes could help if they follow a rule but for this I could only provide you with a German specific solution as I don't know your zip code scheme) "mc303" wrote: I have the resource names, resource post/zip codes and the post/zip codes that each resource will attend.
