Spacebar extras removal
Excel is ancillary to what I do, so I know only enough to be dangerous. I have a column of first names imported from someone else's text file. There is an extra space in front of every first name (col. a). There are two columns on the sheet only col a has the problem. I went to the TRIM function in the help files and of course that only exacerbates confusion among non-excel wonks. Any and all help is appreciated. I think the easiest way would be to select Column A and then:
Edit | Replace ... | Find what: " " (no quotes) | Replace with: (nothing) | Replace All That will replace every space in column A with nothing Assuming there is only one name in the cell, this should do the trick Regards Trevor "camelbreath" wrote in message ...
