In Excel is there a way if I have two spreadsheets that it can match on
one of the cells and create a third spreadsheet that contains data from
the first two.

For example
spreadsheet #1 has
field1,field2
john lasson,09/21/2004
john smith,05/15/2004

spreadsheet #2 has
field1,field2
john smith,$120
john lasson,$140

I'd have it match up so I'd get a 3rd sheet with
john lasson,09/21/2004,$140
john smith,05/15/2004,$120
Is there a way to do this in excel?
