Hate to be silly in this newsgroup, but I have to know the relative severity
of 1) throwing a wobbly, and 2) making a dog's breakfast It's a sad truth that we in the States tend to run our words through a blanderizer, and those two phrases, fabulous as they might be, would never make it past the blanderizer filter |

Yes, we need some enlightenment!
I'm pretty sure that I threw a wobbly a few posts ago! Biff "Duke Carey" wrote in message ... I lived in the UK for awhile and I believe "throwing a wobbly" means
"throwing a tantrum" or maybe in US "going ballistic", "making dog's breakfast" is making a big mess of something -- Regards, Peo Sjoblom Northwest Excel Solutions www.nwexcelsolutions.com (remove ^^ from email address) Portland, Oregon "Duke Carey" wrote in message ... As a UK resident,I can confirm that 'throwing a wobbly' is similar to 'going ballistic', 'losing it'. We do not generally use 'Dogs breakfast' -I have always believed the phrase to be 'Dogs Dinner' but the meaning is the the same - just look at the state of the floor around some dogs' dinner bowls!
